National League: Boreham Wood Stay Top as Woking Hit Carlisle for Five

The National League table has been reshaped after another action-packed Saturday, with Boreham Wood increasing their lead at the top of the table following a convincing victory over Solihull Moors.

There were goals throughout the division, including a five-goal thriller at Carlisle, a big win for Woking and an impressive away victory for Barrow.

Boreham Wood go top

Boreham Wood produced one of the standout results of the afternoon, winning 3โ€“0 away at Solihull Moors.

The victory takes Boreham Wood to 26 points from 10 games, with a goal difference of +15. They now sit at the summit of the National League table.

Southend United remain second on 20 points, while AFC Fylde are also on 20 points after their narrow 1โ€“0 victory at Boston United.

Woking hit five at Carlisle

Woking were another big winner, recording a 5โ€“2 victory away at Carlisle United.

The result moves Woking onto 12 points, while Carlisle remain on 10 points after their tenth league game.

Elsewhere, Aldershot Town also scored five as they defeated Tamworth 5โ€“1.

Barrow stun Southend

Southend United suffered a setback at home as Barrow came away with a 4โ€“2 victory.

Southend remain second with 20 points, but their goal difference has taken a hit following the four goals conceded.

Big wins for Wealdstone and Harrogate

Wealdstone recorded a comprehensive 4โ€“0 win over Gateshead, while Harrogate Town defeated Eastleigh 4โ€“1.

Harrogateโ€™s victory keeps them firmly in the promotion picture, with 19 points from 10 matches.

Altrincham and Yeovil claim away wins

Altrincham recorded a comfortable 3โ€“0 victory over Hornchurch, taking them to 18 points.

Yeovil Town also picked up three points on the road, beating Kidderminster Harriers 1โ€“0.

Six-goal thriller at Sutton

One of the most entertaining games of the afternoon came at Sutton United, where the hosts and Forest Green Rovers played out a 3โ€“3 draw.

Sutton move onto 17 points, while Forest Green sit on 14.

With Boreham Wood leading the way on 26 points, the battle behind them is already becoming congested. Southend and AFC Fylde are level on 20 points, while Harrogate, Aldershot, Yeovil, Kidderminster and Altrincham are all within striking distance.

At the other end, Solihull Moors and Gateshead remain on four points, while Tamworth have eight and Hartlepool nine.

With all 24 clubs having now played 10 matches, the National League table is beginning to take shape โ€” but there is still plenty of football to be played.

Enterprise National League Weekend Preview: All Three Divisions in Action

The extended international break is starting but there is a full programme across the Enterprise National League, National League North and National League South.

With the league tables beginning to take shape, Saturdayโ€™s fixtures could bring plenty of movement at both ends of the divisions.

๐Ÿ† Enterprise National League

All 24 clubs are in action on Saturday, with Boreham Wood travelling to Solihull Moors looking to protect their position at the top of the table. Boreham Wood currently sit on 23 points from nine games, while Solihull Moors are at the other end of the table on four points.

Second-placed Southend United face a home test against Barrow, while Kidderminster Harriers welcome Yeovil Town in another fixture involving a side near the top of the table.

Elsewhere, Aldershot Town host Tamworth, Altrincham welcome AFC Hornchurch, and Harrogate Town take on Eastleigh.

At the bottom, Scunthorpe United entertain Hartlepool United, while Gateshead travel to Wealdstone.

There is plenty to look forward to in the North, with Hereford leading the way on 22 points after nine games.

The Bulls travel to Bedford Town, while second-placed Oxford City face an away trip to Morecambe.

Third-placed Macclesfield host Harborough Town, while Spalding United travel to fourth-placed Brackley Townโ€™s opponents? Actually, the fixture is Brackley Town v Scarborough Athletic, with Spalding travelling to Chorley.

One of the weekendโ€™s standout fixtures sees South Shields host Buxton, with both sides currently sitting in the promotion picture.

At the other end, there are important games for Radcliffe, Darlington and Spennymoor Town as they look to climb away from the bottom four.

Maidstone United sit top of the South after nine games and face a home fixture against Truro City, who themselves are currently in the play-off places.

Second-placed Weston-super-Mare travel to Farnham Town, while Dagenham & Redbridge welcome Hampton & Richmond Borough.

There is also an interesting clash between Dorking Wanderers and Braintree Town, while Billericay Town host Torquay United.

At the other end of the table, Walton & Hersham face a difficult trip to Farnborough, while Slough Town host Hemel Hempstead Town.

There are several fixtures that immediately stand out across the three divisions.

Boreham Wood v Solihull Moors could see the league leaders tested away from home, while South Shields v Buxton is an important North fixture between two sides competing around the top end.

In the South, Maidstone United v Truro City has plenty riding on it, with both clubs currently occupying promotion/play-off positions.

Meanwhile, supporters at the bottom of the tables will be keeping a particularly close eye on the results involving Tamworth, Scunthorpe and Solihull Moors in the National League, and Radcliffe, Darlington and Spennymoor Town in the North.

With the season still in its early stages, there is plenty of football to be played โ€” but three points this weekend could make a significant difference to the developing league tables.
