Club History
AFC Telford United was formed in 2004 after the merger of Telford United and Wellington Town. The club retained the town’s footballing identity and the historic Bucks Head site, moving into the rebuilt stadium in the early 2000s. Telford have spent much of their modern history in the National League and National League North, with the club establishing itself as one of Shropshire’s best-supported non-league sides.
