Club History
Witton Albion’s origins date to the late 1880s. The club’s story is linked to a breakaway from Northwich Victoria after disagreement over the decision to turn professional. Witton developed through regional competitions, including the Cheshire County League, and spent many seasons in the Northern Premier League system.
A major modern turning point came in 1989, when Witton left the old Central Ground after its redevelopment and moved to Wincham Park, built on a site purchased off Chapel Street. The club has continued to represent the Northwich area through changes in the non-league pyramid and plays in the NPL West Division in 2026/27.
