Brentwood Town

Club Overview

Brentwood Town FC, nicknamed the Blues, are an Essex club whose current identity dates to Manor Athletic, founded in 1954. The club returned to the name Brentwood Town in 2004 and has steadily progressed through the Essex Senior League and Isthmian divisions.

History & Milestones

The original Brentwood club had a notable nineteenth-century history, including an FA Cup quarter-final in 1886, but folded after a successful late-1960s period and amalgamated with Chelmsford City. The current club began as Manor Athletic, played at Larkins Playing Fields from 1957 to 1993, and moved to The Brentwood Centre in October 1993. It won the Essex Senior League in 2000/01 and 2006/07, then gained promotion to the Isthmian League. Promotion to the Premier Division followed in 2014/15 after a 5–0 win over Thurrock. After several play-off disappointments, Brentwood won the Isthmian North title in 2024/25 to return to Step 3.
