Club History

Yarmouth won the Norfolk & Suffolk League in 1913/14, 1926/27 and 1927/28 before joining the Eastern Counties League in 1935. The Bloaters have a notable FA Cup history: in 1952/53 they beat Crystal Palace 1–0 in the first round proper, in front of a club-record crowd of 8,944, before going out to Barrow in the second round. They returned to the second round proper in 1953/54 after a first-round win over Guildford City.
The club’s Eastern Counties League championship arrived in 1968/69. More recent milestones include winning Division One in 2009/10 and the Division One North title in 2023/24, which secured a return to the Premier Division. Great Yarmouth also remains one of the most decorated clubs in the Norfolk Senior Cup.
