Club History
South Park FC was formed in 1897 and became a founder member of the Redhill & District Football League. In 1925 the football club and village cricket club established the South Park Sports Association to provide sports facilities for the local community. Land at Whitehall Lane was purchased with help from a local benefactor and money raised by public subscription, and the area became known as King George’s Field from 1935.
The club grew its junior section in the 1970s and 1980s and gradually improved its ground and clubhouse. In 2001 Reigate Town moved to South Park, leading to the name South Park & Reigate Town. The club later adopted the name South Park (Reigate) in 2022. A landmark on-field achievement arrived in 2023/24 when the Sparks won the Surrey Senior Cup, a memorable success for players, volunteers and supporters.
