Club Overview
Leatherhead FC, known as the Tanners, are based at Fetcham Grove in Surrey. The club was formed in 1946 from Leatherhead Rose and Leatherhead United. They won the Isthmian South Central Division in 2025/26 and return to the Isthmian Premier Division for 2026/27.
History
Leatherhead won four consecutive Surrey Senior League titles after their formation, then the Corinthian League in 1962/63 and Athenian League Division One in 1963/64. The club’s defining moment came in the 1974/75 FA Cup, when they defeated Colchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion before losing 3–2 to First Division Leicester City in the fourth round. They reached the FA Trophy final in 1977/78.
A financial crisis in 2000 was overcome when supporters took over the club. The Tanners later reached the FA Cup first round in 2006/07 and second round in 2017/18. Their 2025/26 title-winning campaign brought 96 points and 102 goals and secured promotion to the Isthmian Premier Division.
