A deserved win for Stafford but a huge credit to Witton’s ground staff for getting the game on.

Typically I missed the only goal of the first half which saw Stafford lead 1-0 at the break while I was searching for a pin badge.

Second half was a much more entertaining encounter with an early own goal and a penalty putting Stafford 3-0 up. A delicate chip pulled one back for Witton but it wasn’t enough.

A great ground visit and was really impressed with the Museum & club shop.

Picked up a pint for a fiver and paid the two pound extra to keep the Witton branded cup to add to the collection.

No pies so settled for a cheeseburger for a fiver and being honest a mound of grated cheese in a burger just doesn’t do it for me.

Apart from that really impressed with Witton and well worth a visit.
