Club History
Kidderminster Harriers were founded in 1886 and spent much of their early history in regional football before becoming one of the leading clubs in the non-league game.
The club’s golden era arrived under legendary manager Graham Turner. During the 1980s and 1990s, Harriers became one of the strongest teams in the Football Conference and developed a reputation for giant-killing FA Cup performances.
One of the club’s most famous moments came in 1994 when they reached the Fifth Round of the FA Cup. After defeating Birmingham City and Preston North End, Harriers narrowly lost 1-0 to Premier League side West Ham United in front of a packed Aggborough crowd.
After years of near misses, Kidderminster finally secured promotion to the Football League in 2000 as Conference champions. The club spent five seasons in League Two before returning to non-league football in 2005.
Another unforgettable FA Cup run came in 2021/22 when Harriers reached the Fourth Round and came within seconds of eliminating Premier League side West Ham United before eventually losing in extra time.
Today, Kidderminster remain one of non-league football’s most historic clubs and continue to pursue a return to the Football League.
