Club History

Solihull Moors were formed in 2007 following the merger of Moor Green and Solihull Borough. Moor Green had been forced to leave their home ground after suffering severe damage from an arson attack, leading to discussions that eventually created the new club.

The Moors initially competed in the Conference North and gradually built themselves into promotion challengers. The breakthrough came in 2015/16 when Solihull won the National League North title and secured promotion to the National League for the first time.

Since arriving in the fifth tier, the club has regularly challenged near the top of the table. Solihull narrowly missed promotion in 2022 after reaching the National League Play-Off Final at the London Stadium, losing to Grimsby Town in extra time.

Another major achievement came in 2024 when the club reached the FA Trophy Final at Wembley, further establishing themselves as one of the leading clubs outside the Football League.

Today, Solihull Moors continue to be viewed as one of the National League’s strongest promotion contenders.
