We continued our Road to Wembley series yesterday and after 3 successive away trips we finally got round to visiting Clitheroe Football Club.
What a ground and what a game!!

What a game we were treated to. After missing a penalty in the opening 5 minutes, Clitheroe then found themselves 2-0 down inside the first half an hour. We were already looking at logistics to follow Stockton in the next round, when by half time Clitheroe had turned the tie on its head and went in at the break 3-2 up.
A more cagey second half saw few chances and the tie looked in the balance with 10 minutes to go when Clitheroe were reduced to 10 men. Stockton piled forward and in 10 minutes of injury time Clitheroe broke and sealed the win with a goal the Stockton keeper will not want to see again. This is the furthest Clitheroe have ever been in the #FATrophy and we eagerly await Mondays draw to see where we follow them to next.

#PiePintPinBadge Review
Pie £4
Pie, Peas & Gravy £6

A brand new supplier was in use for the first time at this game. We had two options, the meat & potato priced at £4 which was ok if not a little overpriced for a pie. However tasted good and plenty of filling. The second option of pie, peas & gravy was £6 and the gravy & peas added that little bit extra, still £5 would’ve been enough as we have had cheaper elsewhere this season.
Pint £5

Nice pint of Cruzcampo for £5 and we managed to get our hands on one of the branded Clitheroe cups to add to our collection. Lovely pint, bang on our season average of £5 and a memento of our visit.
Pin Badge £4

We got the choice of two different styles of badge but opted to choose the club crest. Really liked the design of this one and bang on the season average of £4.
