Bacup Confirm Name Change 

  

Bacup confirm name change for new season. 

It can now be officially confirmed that at the conclusion of the current and ready for the start of the 2015/16 season that Bacup & Rossendale Borough will again be known as just Bacup Borough Football Club following approval from the Lancashire Football Association. 

 
Bacup are still the oldest most senior football club in the Rossendale Valley however are just reverting back to its original name of Bacup Borough. 
 
To commemorate, manager Brent Peters has made his first official squad signing ahead of the new 2015/16 season, Jake Berry MP (pictured below) will be given the squad number of 20.

When asked what has attracted you to Jake Berry MP Brent Peters responded by saying “Jake Berry has been a true loyal supporter of Bacup Borough football club even prior to his current role as the member of parliament for Rossendale and Darwen”.
 
Peters concluded with a sprinkling of humour “But in football terms his strengths are that he h’eds balls”.
