Eagle Sports In Semi-Final Clash

Eagle Sports appeal to the community before Dock Semi Final Clash

This Saturday sees Eagle Sports FC play in their first ever Liverpool County FA Challenge Cup Semi Final when they entertain nine times winners of the competition Waterloo Dock FC, at Thornton Road, Great Sankey, Kick off 2pm.

With this, the club are calling on the local Warrington community to come out and support the team as they look to make further history and make the Cup Final.

Club Chairman Colin Hope, who has been involved with the Great Sankey based club for 26 years, said ‘ The lads have done brilliantly to get to this stage in the competition and with this being the furthest stage of the competition we have ever reached, it would be fantastic if the local community could come to Thornton Road, watch what promises to be a fantastic match and see what our club are all about’.

Eagle Sports go into the game on the back of a nine match winning run, whilst their opponents currently sit top of the Liverpool County Premier League, so a classic match looks to be on the cards.

Admission to the match is free for all, with Eagle Sports & Social Club open from 1.30pm to cater for any refreshment needs. Match Programmes will also be available, priced £1.

Match Posters are available from the club’s website www.eaglesportsfc.co.uk and they are asking anyone who can possibly display a poster around the town to please do so as they look for a bumper crowd this Saturday.

Later this week we will have an interview with Eagle manager Rob Hope and a look back at their results so far.
