Stockport County became the first team into the Cheshire Senior Cup semi-finals after a 4-1 win away at Runcorn Town.
A Chris Sharp goal on 12 minutes opened the scoring and saw The Hatters go into the half-time break a goal to the good.
A change at the break saw Greg Wilkinson make his return following a 3 match ban, as he replaced Jack Ryan who played his first 45 minutes following a 2 game absence with injury.
Scott Spencer doubled County’s advantage just after the hour mark and sub Wilkinson made it three shortly after.
Chris Sharp got his second and County’s fourth with quarter of an hour left to play, while Gareth Grant grabbed a mere consolation for Runcorn in the final five minutes.
Fighting it out to join County in the last 4 are current holders Northwich Victoria who play Tranmere Rovers, and Cammell Laird who host Congleton Town with both fixtures scheduled for tonight (17/2/15).
With Macclesfield Town and Crewe Alexandra playing next Tuesday 24th in the remaining quarter-final tie.
