Calvert-Lewin returns to Sheffield United.
Stalybridge Celtic have suffered a blow today as on-loan striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been recalled by parent club Sheffield United.
The striker who scored six goals in as many games since joining Celtic on loan in December, will be a big loss as Keith Briggs men look to avoid relegation from the Conference North.
However there is some good news expected at Bower Fold, rumours there will be some new faces coming in, two loanees from a League 1 side are imminent along with an ex league player signing.
The chairman has also stated the club are hopeful of signing a long term target, however it may be on loan now as the deal is a bit more complicated than first thought.
Chairman Rob Gorski says ‘We have all been very busy trying to bring in new players but it’s slow and very frustrating’
