Stafford striker Ryan Wynter out for the season.
Stafford Rangers striker Ryan Wynter will miss the remainder of the season after injuring his ankle at work.
The forward broke suffered the injury in an accident this week, meaning Rangers’ boss Neil Kitching will turn to former Chasetown frontman Nick Wellecomme with fellow striker Jazz Luckie also struggling to get fit.
Speaking to The Sentinel, Stafford’s boss said: “Ryan Wynter’s season is over after he broke his foot in a work accident. He will be out for ten weeks so that is a massive blow to us. Jazz is still not there yet and we don’t want to rush him back.”
The club also announced this week that Port Vale youngster Nathan Smith had extended his loan spell with the Evo-Stik Division One South club, until the end of the season.
The defender had originally joined on loan for a month back in October, but a deal to keep the youngster at Marston Road was made between Rangers and Vale.
