Litherland REMYCA are to cast the first sod this weekend on a new covered terrace.
The club are delighted to announce that we have all of the logistics and agreements in place to start construction of our new Covered terrace this weekend.
The first sod will be cut by club staff and volunteers this coming Saturday morning at Litherland Sports Park on a new covered stepped terrace that will hold between 50-75 people in comfort with unobstructed views of the pitch.
The erection of the stand will take us around six to eight weeks. It will be going in alongside our existing 50 Seater “Counterline Ltd Stand” on the West Side of the ground.
The stand is required as part of our ground grading requirements from the North West Counties League but it is something we have always had in mind anyway with comfort for our fans and visitors being important to us.
Litherland Remyca are in constant negotiation with Sefton Council about building a community football facility in the area and it is something that is included in our business plan, so, the blueprints for the type of stands we are building now we will use again when we build our own stadium in the future.
