Southport manager Gary Brabin has left the club to take up a role at Everton.
Brabin had been headhunted by The Toffees to take up a role under their coaching regime, where he will coach the youngsters all the way up to the U21’s.
Southport have moved swiftly to replace Brabin with Paul Carden.
A new assistant manager will be announced in due course.
Brabin had not long been in charge at Southport, but guided the club to the FA Cup 3rd Round where they were beaten by an injury time penalty at Pride Park by Derby County.
