Nantwich Town Appoint New Assistant

Nantwich Town

Nantwich Town Boss Danny Johnson has appointed a new assistant manager.

Ok not technically true, but The Dabbers boss came up with a great way to raise money for the club by auctioning a place in the dugout for this weeks Cheshire Senior Cup tie against Tranmere Rovers.

Fan Carl Thorpe was the highest bidder and he takes his place on the sidelines alongside Johnson as assistant manager for the game.

In preparation for his new role as assistant, Johnson sent Carl to do a scouting report on Tranmere as they faced Bootle in the Liverpool Senior Cup last week.

However Johnson is still on the lookout for a permanent assistant following the departure of Phil Eastwood in December.
