Power Out At Salford

Salford City confirm this morning the sacking of manager Phil Power.

Power leaves Moor Lane after a 18 month tenure in charge of The Ammies, but now leaves along with his assistant Dave Chadwick.

In a statement on the Salford website, they say the committee and owners decided it was the right change for a change.

Rumours are rife on who will replace Power, with the strong favourite amongst the non league fraternity, Anthony Johnson allegedly resigning from his post as manager of Ramsbottom United this morning, it very much looks like he could be on his way to Moor Lane.

We’ll have more on this later today.
