Hyde FC have this morning confirmed the departure of manager Scott McNiven.

In a statement on The Tigers website, Hyde confirm the departure of McNiven, and also leaving Ewen Fields are his coaching team of John Hills and Rhys Day.

McNiven had a fairly difficult time in charge at Hyde, but did enjoy some fine moments during the 2012/13 season when they avoided relegation from the Conference Premier, defeating teams like Luton, Wrexham and Stockport County along the way.

However since that season things have been difficult, and after just 3 league wins in a little over one and a half seasons, the Hyde board have acted.

The latest defeat to local rivals Stalybridge Celtic on New Years Day, where they went down 7-1 seemed to be the final straw.

Hyde expect to make a further announcement later today regarding the position.
