This season so far for BARB has been pretty much a matter of creating plenty of chances but not taking them at big moments in the match, however could this be due to change with two big striker signings……..
The first is Martin Ormesher who is a 32 year old experienced striker who knows how to find the back of the net at this level. Martin has played for Ashton Town, Burscough, Leigh Genesis, Malpas, Ashton Athletic, Rhyl, AFC Liverpool, Salford City, Witton Albion, Droylsden and New Mills to name but a few.
The second who could in fact form a perfect partnership with Martin is Greek striker Tslalemis Konstantinos (or Kosta for short). Kosta, 20, has an impressive background playing for PAE AEL in Greece and they got promoted to the second division last year as well as knocking Blackburn Rovers out of Europe in 2007. They have had some big names that used to play for the club also in Stelios Giannakopolos, Laurent Robert, Nolberto Solano and Nikos Dabizas.
Kosta has been cleared by the Greek authorities to make his debut for Bacup & Rossendale Borough as well as Martin Ormesher who wasn’t signed in time to play in the Lancashire Challenge Trophy.
Both will be looking to make their debuts away at Winsford United on Saturday so let’s hope they both start finding the back of the net straight away.
